breakfast pizza, a blinking times square and glowing cocktails.

last year, when it was still december, siri was still here visiting me.

we started our second day together with jumping on the same bus, with the same bus driver we had when we were on Bus Tours to New York from New Brunswick.

you know the high line, right? it’s a long park that runs on an old elevated train track over chelsea and meatpacking.

it was pretty cold, but we walked on to keep warm and talked about linguistics, ski dancing, the names for our future potential kids, and said hi to the hyper-realistic creepy sleepwalker statue by tony matelli.

after walking the whole thing, we were really hungry, and took the subway to bowery.

to the restaurant gemma, more specifically. it was so pretty in there, cozy and fancy.

siri ordered tea.

and we had pizza! mine was this breakfast-kind of style pizza with mushrooms, truffle oil, and two eggs! i think it’s the first time that i’ve ordered pizza with egg actually. but it was good!

fast forward an hour or two! after massive pizza lunch, we went over to brooklyn and walked around the stores in williamsburg. i took absolutely zero pictures, but it was christmassy and cute with the sun set already and lights hanging along whole bedford avenue. but it was cold, so eventually we sat down at rabbit hole.

for some sea salt dark hot chocolate with whipped cream?! GAH so gooood.

after our little williamsburg mini tour, we went back to manhattan—to the very center of it! times square had to be crossed off siri’s first time in nyc-list, of course.

so that’s what we did. took some selfies, pressed through the crowds of tourists, and took a peek inside the insane forever21 that is right there. (spoiler: it was a four-story mess, mostly.)

and to end the night, we had late dinner at thursday kitchen in east village. it’s a korean tapas place, and the food was so good that i totally forgot to take a picture of it! but at least, i captured these magical lychee drinks—they serve glowing cocktails in capri sun packaging. LOVE IT.
