my birthday celebrations were coming to their end, but i needed to take advantage of the sunday as well. and sundays = brunch! so in the morning, i walked down to sunny hayes valley where they had put up hammocks.
to meet up with these two! aleigh and louise.
at straw! i’ve been wanting to go here for a long time. they call it “carnival fare”, and the menu includes things like a burger with donuts instead of bread, cotton candy drinks and pizza soup.
the menus are in the form of children’s books, which aleigh was very excited about.
bloody mary ofc!! mandatory brunch beverage. this day was SO HOT by the way. we sat on metal chairs and burned our asses off, basically.
our food!!! gahhh. my salmon po-boy to the far left (po-boy is a kind of sandwich from the american south), louise’s grilled cheese and aleigh’s chilaquiles. omg YUM. we got full after like 1/4 of our meals. so good.
a little later, i walked over to dolores park! there was the cutest little frenchie sniffing around alone. i debated whether or not i should kidnap it, but let it walk freely this time.
but the reason i was there was to meet up with siri! oh, and this beast, ace.
it’s jay’s dog!
SO NICE AND FLUFFY :'( omggggg
then this little gem walked by!
he was seriously 1/20th the size of ace. they had a sweet little moment together though.
and so i walked home through the magic san francisco light. so thankful for a fantastic birthday weekend, i really managed to *carpe* every single moment of it. and yay for everyone who did it with me! <3
